Job Opportunity: Locum Anesthesiologist in Colorado Springs CO

Join a dynamic healthcare team in Colorado Springs a picturesque city nestled at the foot of the Rocky Mountains. The facility is renowned for its high-quality service and offers a supportive environment for its medical professionals. We are seeking 2-3 Locum Anesthesiologists to meet the growing demand in our busy practice.

Job Responsibilities:

• Provide anesthesia services for a variety of surgical cases primarily adult and trauma patients.
• Supervise CRNAs approximately 40% of the time.
• Perform general anesthesia acute pain management and regional anesthesia.
• Manage critical care situations including arterial and central line placements.
• Collaborate with a large team of 55 anesthesiologists and 30 CRNAs.
• Utilize EPIC for electronic medical records and anesthesia charting.
• Participate in trauma cases at a Level 1 facility.
• Conduct outpatient follow-ups and consultations as required.

Qualifications:

• Board Certified in Anesthesiology is required; Board Eligible candidates will not be considered.
• Active Colorado Medical License or an active IMLC license.
• Current BLS ACLS and PALS/APLS certifications.
• Availability to cover shifts for two consecutive weeks each month.
• Previous clean malpractice history is preferred.
• Local candidates are highly preferred.
• Ability to perform central lines and comfort with pediatric cases.
• Submission of a Self-Query NPDB Report within the last 30 days is required.

License and Certification Requirements:

• Current and valid medical license in Colorado.
• Board Certification in Anesthesiology (unlicensed candidates will not be considered).
• BLS ACLS and PALS/APLS certifications must be current.
