Ready to make commercial impact in emergency lighting

About the role

As Sales Specialist Emergency Lighting you are responsible for the commercial performance of our emergency lighting activities in the NorthEast of the Netherlands (Utrecht Gelderland Overijssel Groningen Friesland and Drenthe).

You combine relationship management new business development and commercial strategy. You know your market understand the needs of installers and wholesalers and translate these into concrete solutions and longterm partnerships.

You work in a team with two other Sales Specialists and report to the Sales & Marketing Manager.

What will you do

In this role you are endtoend responsible for your region. You will:

  • Drive revenue growth market penetration and profitability
  • Build and maintain longterm relationships with installers and wholesalers
  • Develop and implement sales and marketing activities focused on commercial excellence
  • Identify trends and opportunities and translate them into concrete actions
  • Manage quotations from request to successful deal closure
  • Work closely with (technical) sales support on solutions and innovations
  • Represent VanLien as a market leader in emergency lighting

Your team and working environment

You will be part of the VanLien Emergency Lighting team: a small knowledgeable and approachable team with an open culture and short lines of communication.

You will mainly work within your region:

  • Approximately 70% at customer locations
  • Working from home
  • Base location: Rotterdam (GHweg)

What do you bring

You are an entrepreneurial sales professional with drive. You are decisive honest and enjoy working together. You feel comfortable in an independent field sales role and are confident engaging with customers at different levels.

Musthaves

  • Bachelors level of working and thinking with knowledge of electrotechnics (lighting)
  • At least 5 years of commercial experience preferably in the lighting industry
  • Experience in a field sales role (for example Sales Specialist Account Manager or Technical Sales)
  • Dutch language proficiency at minimum B2 level (hard requirement)
  • Driving licence B

Nicetohaves

  • Knowledge of emergency lighting
  • English language proficiency at B2 level
