As we continue with our growth strategy we are currently seeking and have an immediate opening for a qualified and motivated individual to fill the position of Apprentice (2nd 3rd Year) based in Edmonton AB.

The Sprinkler Fitter will report to the Project Manager / Foreman or his designate. We are seeking a customer-focused highly organized and experienced fitter for a permanent position with previous experience in new installations and renovation/retrofit work.

Key Responsibilities:

A Sprinkler Fitter apprentice is responsible for the installation service and repair of fire protection systems including wet dry pre-action and suppression systems as well as fire pumps and backflow devices.

Qualifications & Skills:

Sprinkler Fitter Apprentice with a valid trade apprentice ID

A member of UA Local 488 in good standing.

Follow verbal and written instructions.

Capable of performing physical labor to include carrying and moving equipment and tools weighing up to 50 lbs.

The majority of work is all above head.

Able to work in unusual and sometimes difficult positions such as climbing ladders scaffolding and high lift equipment working within ducts crawl spaces above ceilings etc.

Read and understand construction blueprints diagrams and specifications used in installation activities.

Ability to work flexible hours and at multiple locations.

Ability to adhere to implement and always follow safety guidelines and procedures.

Excellent communication skills.

Strong organizational skills a positive attitude an ability to learn quickly along with strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Security Clearance is an asset.

Possess a valid drivers license with a clean driving record.
