Key Responsibilities
As the VP Commercial Insurance Complex Risk you will lead the delivery and growth of complex risk solutions for sophisticated commercial clients. Your responsibilities will include:

Client Advisory & Complex Risk Solutions:
o Lead the design and placement of tailored insurance and risk management programs for large complex accounts across multiple industries.
o Act as a senior advisor to clients providing strategic guidance on risk identification mitigation and transfer solutions.

Business Development & Growth:
o Drive new business development by cultivating relationships with key stakeholders prospects and centers of influence.
o Identify opportunities to expand existing client relationships through cross-selling specialized products and services.

Market Engagement & Carrier Relationships:
o Build and maintain strong relationships with insurers and underwriting partners to secure optimal terms for complex placements.
o Leverage market expertise to negotiate competitive coverage structures and pricing strategies.

Leadership & Collaboration:
o Partner with internal teams including producers account executives and specialists to deliver seamless client service.
o Mentor and support team members fostering a high-performance collaborative culture within the complex risk practice.

Strategic Planning & Execution:
o Contribute to the development and execution of regional and national strategies for complex risk growth.
o Monitor market trends and emerging risks to proactively position the organization as a leader in complex risk advisory.

Qualifications
To succeed in this role candidates should demonstrate the following:

Education & Experience:
o Post-secondary education in business finance or a related field is preferred.
o 10 years of experience in commercial insurance with a strong focus on complex or large-risk accounts.

Technical Skills:
o Deep expertise in structuring complex insurance programs including layered and multinational placements.
o Strong knowledge of insurance markets policy wordings and risk transfer mechanisms.

Key Competencies:
o Exceptional relationship-building and client advisory skills with executive-level stakeholders.
o A strategic entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to drive growth and deliver innovative solutions.
