Summary:
The Shipper/Receiver is responsible for preparing and processing orders involving large oversized or highâcapacity materials. This includes pulling and staging heavy products securely packing and wrapping bulk items labeling pallets and positioning loads on flat bed trailer or designated staging zones for transport. They conduct detailed receiving inspections on incoming shipments to verify compliance with specifications and ensure all materials are accurately identified documented and safely released into the workflow.

Job Duties/Responsibilities:

• Unload incoming material shipments and store efficiently in designated locations (steel pipe steel wire etc.)
• Organize and identify stock and maintain inventory; restock materials as required
• Performing receiving inspections on materials for defects and damage
• Organize space in the warehouse
• Maintain quality service by following organization standards
• Adhere to health safety and quality policies as well as all company policies and procedures
• Arrange shipment of product as required by order documentation in an accurate and timely based on commitments made to the customer
• Receiving product accurately and timely so the product is available for order fulfillment as soon as possible
• Responding to any shipping discrepancies in a timely manner based on service level commitments
• Participate in training and safety meetings as required
• Other duties as required

Skills/Knowledge

• Ability to read and understand manufacturing drawings and job order documentation
• Able to follow and understand both oral and written instructions in English
• Dedicated to continuous improvement

Education

• High School Diploma or equivalent

Experience

• 3 years of experience in shipping and receiving
• Grade 12 basic math skills
• Forklift Operator Certification; experience handling oversized loads and industrial materials preferred
