About the role

  • Frontline Support: Provide professional reception and administrative support to patients clinicians and internal stakeholders within the HIS department.

  • Medical Records Management: Retrieve track and maintain both paper and electronic medical records ensuring accuracy integrity and timely access.

  • Release of Information: Process requests for medical information in line with privacy medico-legal and Ministry of Health guidelines.

  • Data Accuracy & Systems: Maintain high-quality data entry and documentation within the Patient Administration System (PAS) and Scanned Medical Record (SMR).

  • Responsive Communication: Manage enquiries via phone email and fax delivering prompt clear and compliant communication to support ongoing patient care.

About you

  • Strong Communication Skills: Confident in liaising with multidisciplinary teams and clearly explaining processes to patients and clinicians.

  • Problem-Solving Mindset: Ability to use initiative to resolve issues and complaints both independently and as part of a team.

  • Healthcare Experience: Previous experience in a hospital or Health Information Services environment with exposure to Patient Administration Systems (PAS).

  • Customer Service Excellence: Proven reception and telephone skills with a professional patient-focused approach.

  • Highly Organised & Detail-Oriented: Able to multitask prioritise competing demands meet deadlines and always maintain strict confidentiality.
