Renewable Energy Skills Coordinator 4X Vacancies
At the NSW Department of Education we educate and inspire lifelong learners from early childhood through schooling to vocational education and training.
- Temporary Full-Time until 31 December 2028
- There are four roles with different locations and focus areas. One role located in South West Renewable Energy Zone (REZ) (eg. Hay and Deniliquin potentially Wagga Wagga); one role in New England REZ (eg. Armidale potentially Tamworth) one role that is statewide (likely focus on the Hunter) and one role that is statewide with a focus on renewable energy manufacturing. About the role
The role of the Renewable Energy Skills Coordinator is to work with renewable energy employers (particularly generators and transmission line companies) to identify their skills needs workforce plans and employment targets (apprenticeships and traineeships women and Indigenous people) and connect them with the skills programs that support these job opportunities.

About you
- You build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships through effective communication negotiation and issue resolution.
- Provide clear practical advice on skills training and workforce development to support project outcomes.
- You plan and manage projects effectively coordinating resources and delivering on time on budget and to quality standards.
- You take a proactive solutions-focused approach and contribute to policy development and innovative approaches to vocational education and training.
- Knowledge of and commitment to implementing the Departments Aboriginal Education Policy and upholding the Departments Partnership Agreement with the NSW AECG and to ensure quality outcomes for Aboriginal people.
Essential requirements of the role
- Southwest REZ and New England REZ coordinators have a location requirement.
- All the roles require face-to-face contact with employers and knowledge of skills.
- Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to the value of public education.
