Whats the role
This role sits within the Customer & Engineering unit delivering customer servicing credit assessment and product originations technology via online and stafffacing addition to maintaining groupcritical applications you will help drive the adoption of AIdriven agentic development across Informatica Intelligent Data Management Cloud (IDMC) pipelines and python services automating coding testing documentation and change delivery while meeting the banks regulatory and security obligations.
Your key responsibilities include:
- Design develop and support data integration solutions using Informatica IDMC (Cloud Data Integration Cloud Application Integration Data Quality Metadata).
- Build and maintain robust ETL/ELT pipelines across onprem hybrid and cloud environments.
- Act as a subjectmatter expert for Informatica and IDMC defining standards patterns and best practices.
- Partner with architects and stakeholders to support cloud migration and modernisation initiatives.
- Engineer for nonfunctional excellence: reliability security performance observability and operability.
- Ensure that agreed standards and processes within Westpac are adhered to ensure fulfilment of regulatory obligations.
- Apply an AIfirst approach to automate coding testing data mappings orchestration and documentation.
What do I need
- Expert level experience with Informatica PowerCenter &IDMC.
- Experience designing and supporting highvolume timecritical batch data pipelines.
- Strong SQL skills and experience working with large complex relational datasets.
- Exposure to Git Bitbucket.
- Computer Science (or closely related degree) with a major in software engineering or equivalent.
