Sector Manager Independent Assurance

Due to continued growth in our Program Management Business Line we are seeking an experienced Manager with a growth mindset to join our ANZ team in a senior leadership capacity based in either Brisbane or Sydney as a Sector Manager - Independent Assurance

How youll make a difference

• Support the execution of sector-specific strategies and drive profitable growth through effective client engagement and market differentiation.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients industry partners and stakeholders.
• Oversee recruitment development and succession planning for your team including workshare across the sector
• Foster a supportive and inclusive work environment empowering team members to take ownership and encouraging professional development.
• Ensure delivery excellence across all projects by maintaining high standards of quality safety and client satisfaction.
• Implement digital and AI initiatives within the sector and uphold project governance and delegation of authority requirements
• Actively participate in technical and project management roles including GNGs project risk reviews and governance reviews.
• Champion a Quality Mindset and ensure the consistent application of AECOMs policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Engineering Project Management or a related field (Masters degree preferred).
• Minimum 20 years experience in major civil infrastructure projects
• CPEng or equivalent professional accreditation (desirable)
• Strong background in civil design and construction delivery
• Demonstrated experience in independent certification verification or assurance roles
• Experience operating under government or principal-led contract models
• Proven capability leading and being accountable for multi-disciplinary technical teams
• Experience in client engagement work winning market positioning and delivery excellence 
• Strong leadership and team development skills with a focus on fostering a collaborative and inclusive work environment.
• Excellent client engagement abilities with a demonstrated history of building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders.
• Proficient in project governance and risk management with experience in implementing approval processes.
• Knowledge of digital initiatives and their application within the engineering sector.
• Ability to manage complex stakeholder relationships and navigate organizational change.
