The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Senior Veterinary Nurse to join our team with the exciting opportunity to step into Acting Practice Manager duties while our current Practice Manager is on maternity leave.
This is a unique role for a motivated and capable nurse looking to expand their leadership and management experience while remaining hands-on in clinical care.
Key Responsibilities
Senior Veterinary Nurse Duties:
Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients
Assist veterinarians in consultations and surgical procedures
Oversee hospital operations including patient monitoring and care
Support and mentor junior nursing staff
Acting Practice Manager Duties:
Oversee day-to-day clinic operations
Coordinate staff rostering and workflow
Support team leadership and maintain a positive workplace culture
Assist with inventory management and ordering
Liaise with clients and handle escalations professionally
Support business operations and reporting where required
About You
Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing (or equivalent)
Minimum 3 years experience in a veterinary nursing role
Previous leadership or senior nurse experience preferred
Strong organisational and communication skills
Confident in both clinical and administrative responsibilities
A proactive solutions-focused mindset
