Sydney Water is undertaking a 10-year multibillion dollar Infrastructure program to renew expand & build infrastructure to support a more sustainable resilient and efficient water network for Sydneys growing population. We provide safe drinking recycled wastewater and stormwater services with a focus on reliability affordability and environmental sustainability. About This Role:

As the Lead Scheduler you will lead the development and maintenance of highquality clientside schedules across a portfolio of projects giving clear visibility of progress risk and delivery confidence. You will lead a small team of schedulers while staying handson working closely with project and contractor teams identifying schedule risks early and applying Primavera P6 and project controls best practice to support predictable and reliable delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development maintenance and analysis of highquality clientside schedules ensuring robust logic baseline integrity and reliable forecasting across complex projects and programs.
  • Manage the endtoend monthly schedule update cycle and contractor interfaces ensuring timely validated updates controlled change incorporation and governance compliance.
  • Provide insightful schedule analysis including critical path float interfaces and milestone variance delivering early warning of risk and practical recovery options with delivery teams.
  • Lead and coach a team of schedulers coordinating workload assuring quality embedding bestpractice scheduling standards and building capability through handson leadership.
  • Support integrated project controls by applying EVM change control and data quality discipline collaborating with cost risk and commercial teams to enable defensible reporting and decisionmaking.

To be successful in this role you will bring:

  • A tertiary qualification in Engineering or a related discipline supported by a recognised Project Management certification.
  • Strong leadership experience in scheduling with a proven ability to lead mentor and uplift scheduler teams while driving consistent standards and highquality outputs.
  • Deep expertise in Primavera P6 and industrybest scheduling principles with the ability to manage multiple complex schedules and maintain robust governance and controls.
  • Highly developed communication stakeholder engagement and collaboration skills with confidence presenting insights risks and recommendations to senior project and program leaders.
  • Advanced analytical problemsolving and organisational skills supported by strong Excel capability and a sound understanding of contractual legislative and governance requirements (Power BI and SAP experience desirable).
