Expert Cloud Solution & DevOps Architect Azure

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Azure Cloud Solution & DevOps Architect to design build and maintain scalable cloud-based solutions using Microsoft Azure services .

In this role you will work closely with project managers developers data engineers and infrastructure teams to deliver secure reliable and high-performance cloud architectures. The ideal candidate has strong expertise in Azure DevOps Terraform Kubernetes and cloud-native architecture design .

Key Responsibilities

• Design develop and implement cloud-based architectures using Microsoft Azure services .
• Advise on cloud-native and event-driven application architectures .
• Build and manage Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) using Terraform .
• Implement security governance and compliance best practices for Azure environments.
• Develop automation scripts and deployment processes for Azure infrastructure.
• Implement and maintain Azure Landing Zones aligned with cloud best practices.
• Manage CI/CD pipelines and deployments using Azure DevOps .
• Collaborate with developers to optimize cloud solutions for performance scalability and reliability .
• Work with data architects and engineers to design and implement cloud data platforms.
• Integrate cloud infrastructure with existing on-premise environments .
• Produce and maintain technical documentation including architecture diagrams and runbooks.
• Participate in architecture security and DevOps governance discussions .
• Mentor and support junior engineers on Azure services DevOps practices and Terraform.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science Information Technology or related field .
• Minimum 10 years of experience in the ICT industry .
• At least 10 years of software development experience (.NET/C# Java or similar).
• Minimum 10 years of experience designing and maintaining Azure cloud solutions .
• 5 years of experience with Azure DevOps including CI/CD pipelines and version control.
• 5 years of experience using Terraform for Infrastructure-as-Code.
• 5 years of experience with container orchestration using Kubernetes and tools such as Docker Helm Flux or Kustomize.
• Experience implementing Azure Landing Zone architecture .
• Experience with Azure Data Services such as Azure Data Factory and Azure Databricks.

Certifications

• Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert (Required)
• Additional certifications such as Azure Developer Associate are a plus.

Languages

• English Mandatory (Professional proficiency)
• Dutch or French Nice to have
