Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Data & Cloud Architect to strengthen a Data Office and work closely with the Chief Data Officer (CDO). The role focuses on defining and implementing enterprise-wide data and cloud architectures leading strategic data initiatives and driving the modernization of data platforms in a hybrid cloud environment.

• Define and govern enterprise data architecture including data storage integration and internal/external data flows across on-premises and cloud environments.
• Design cloud-based data architectures and oversee their implementation and operational support.
• Lead the modernization of data platforms and support the transition of legacy applications and data structures.
• Establish architectural guidelines for data analytics data mining statistics AI and data engineering initiatives.
• Provide expertise on data integration technologies Python ecosystems and data engineering best practices.
• Lead technical communities of practice and promote quality standards for Python development and data solutions.
• Manage strategic data projects roadmaps and stakeholder alignment.
• Ensure compliance with data governance security privacy and regulatory requirements.
• Advise on cloud security identity and access management (IAM) secrets management and AI-related data considerations.
• Collaborate closely with enterprise architects technical teams and public-sector stakeholders.

• Minimum 6 years of experience in Data Management AI and Azure Cloud environments.
• Minimum 3 years of team leadership experience.
• Proven experience in project management and delivery leadership.
• Strong expertise in:

  • Python Java and SQL
  • Cloud Data Platforms
  • AI and Advanced Analytics
  • Data Modeling
  • Kubernetes Terraform and CI/CD pipelines
• Hands-on experience designing implementing and supporting cloud-based data solutions.
• Experience establishing governance frameworks and secure data architectures.

• Relevant experience as a Data Architect Cloud Architect or similar senior role.
• Azure Cloud certification required.
• Data Engineering certification required.
