Lead Data Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Data Engineer with a strong focus on data architecture advanced Microsoft SQL Server optimization and cloud integration. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server including T-SQL Dynamic SQL and various optimization techniques. This role is critical in ensuring the efficiency and effectiveness of our data systems enabling data-driven decision-making across the organization.

• Design and implement robust data architecture solutions that meet business requirements and enhance data accessibility.
• Optimize Microsoft SQL Server performance through advanced techniques including query optimization indexing strategies and stored procedures.
• Develop and maintain complex T-SQL scripts Dynamic SQL Common Table Expressions (CTEs) and Window Functions to support data processing and reporting needs.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate cloud solutions ensuring seamless data flow and accessibility.
• Conduct performance tuning and troubleshooting of SQL Server databases to ensure high availability and reliability.
• Implement best practices for data governance security and compliance within the data architecture.
• Mentor and guide junior data engineers fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
• Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in data engineering and cloud integration.

• Strong expertise in Microsoft SQL Server including administration and optimization.
• Proficient in T-SQL Dynamic SQL and advanced query optimization techniques.
• Experience with indexing strategies and performance tuning of SQL queries.
• Solid understanding of stored procedures CTEs and Window Functions.
• Familiarity with cloud integration and data migration strategies.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

• Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure AWS or Google Cloud.
• Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and ETL processes.
• Familiarity with data visualization tools and reporting solutions.
• Understanding of data governance and compliance frameworks.

• Must have at least 5 years of experience in MS SQL

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field.
• Relevant certifications in Microsoft SQL Server or cloud technologies are a plus.
• Proven track record of successful data engineering projects.
