Job Title: Scrum Master
Location: Charlotte NC Short Hills NJ (Hybrid)
Job Type: Contract
Tax Terms: C2C W2
Responsibilities:
- Facilitate all Scrum ceremonies: Sprint Planning Daily Standups Sprint Reviews Retrospectives and Backlog Refinement.
- Ensure Scrum principles values and practices are understood and adhered to by the team.
- Work with Product Owners to maintain a healthy prioritized backlog
- Coach the team on Agile best practices and help them evolve toward high performance.
- Help the team achieve goals through transparency continuous improvement and effective collaboration.
- Support team members in resolving conflicts and building a healthy team dynamic
- Proactively identify and remove blockers that impact team performance.
- Escalate organizational impediments when necessary and collaborate with stakeholders to resolve them
- Partner with Product Owners Business Analysts Developers QA and leadership to align business needs with team capacity.
- Provide visibility into team progress using Agile metrics (velocity burndown team health etc.).
- Promote effective communication across teams and departments.
- Drive retrospectives and follow through on action items for improvement.
- Foster a culture of experimentation learning and innovation.
- Introduce and champion techniques to improve predictability quality and flow
Skills:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Engineering Business or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 5 years of hands-on experience as a Scrum Master working with Agile teams.
- Strong understanding of Agile frameworks (Scrum Kanban SAFe).
- Proficiency with Agile tools (JIRA Azure DevOps Rally Trello).
- Excellent communication facilitation and coaching skills.
- Scrum Master certification (CSM PSM I/II SAFe SSM etc.).
- Experience in scaled Agile environments (SAFe LeSS Nexus).
- Experience working with distributed or cross-functional teams
