We are looking for a highly skilled Lead Configuration Engineer to drive the design configuration and optimization of marketing automation solutions using Salesforce Marketing Cloud and Agentforce (Salesforce AI for Marketing). This role will lead technical configuration efforts architect scalable solutions and enable AI-driven marketing capabilities to enhance customer engagement and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Leadership & Configuration
Lead the end-to-end configuration of Salesforce Marketing Cloud solutions across Email Studio Journey Builder Automation Studio and Mobile Studio
Define and enforce best practices for platform configuration naming conventions and reusable frameworks
Translate complex business requirements into scalable maintainable technical configurations
Review and guide team members work to ensure high-quality implementations
Agentforce for Marketing (AI Capabilities)
Design and configure Agentforce AI agents for marketing use cases such as personalized engagement lead nurturing and campaign automation
Define AI-driven workflows and integrate them into Marketing Cloud journeys
Partner with business teams to identify and implement AI-powered optimization opportunities
Oversee testing validation and continuous improvement of AI agent performance
Data Architecture & Integration
Architect and manage data models using Data Extensions Contact Builder and segmentation frameworks
Develop advanced audience segmentation using SQL and automation strategies
Oversee integrations between Marketing Cloud Salesforce CRM (Sales Cloud/Data Cloud) and external systems via APIs
Ensure data quality governance and compliance with privacy regulations
Campaign & Journey Enablement
Enable complex multi-channel customer journeys with advanced personalization and dynamic content
Support campaign teams in implementing scalable and reusable journey frameworks
Optimize performance through testing strategies (A/B multivariate) and analytics
DevOps & Release Management
Establish and manage deployment processes across environments (Dev QA Prod)
Implement version control and CI/CD best practices for Marketing Cloud assets where applicable
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to configurations and integrations
Stakeholder Collaboration
Act as a technical lead and advisor to marketing product and business stakeholders
Conduct solution design workshops and provide strategic recommendations
Mentor junior engineers and configure best practices across the team
Required Skills & Qualifications
6 10 years of experience in Salesforce Marketing Cloud
Strong expertise in Journey Builder Automation Studio Contact Builder and Email Studio
Advanced proficiency in SQL AMPscript and SSJS
Hands-on experience with Agentforce or Salesforce AI tools (Einstein generative AI predictive models)
Experience designing scalable data models and segmentation strategies
Proven experience integrating SFMC with Salesforce CRM and external systems
Strong understanding of marketing automation architecture and lifecycle marketing
Leadership experience guiding technical teams or projects
Familiarity with REST/SOAP APIs and integration middleware
Experience implementing AI-driven marketing solutions at scale
Knowledge of DevOps practices and deployment automation in SFMC
