Job Summary

Director SEM & Paid Marketing

We are looking for a highly strategic and hands-on SEM & Paid Marketing Leader to drive growth across high-impact verticals particularly within Consumer Finance and Insurance.

This is a senior high-ownership role where you will lead the end-to-end paid marketing engine-from strategy and execution to automation and optimization. You will be responsible for scaling high-intent traffic improving lead generation efficiency and maximizing ROI across large media budgets.

You will work at the intersection of marketing data science product and analytics playing a critical role in shaping the future of our performance marketing capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership

  • Lead the ongoing optimization and evolution of paid marketing efforts including automation and customer journey enhancements
  • Develop and execute integrated paid media strategies aligned with aggressive growth goals

Data-Driven Optimization

  • Design and implement data-driven strategies to improve lead generation conversion rates and monetization
  • Leverage automation and personalization to enhance campaign performance

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with SEM Data Science UX/CRO Analytics and Operations teams to improve execution speed and efficiency
  • Streamline processes and integrate tools to enhance agility across the marketing function

Vertical Strategy

  • Build and execute category-specific growth strategies for consumer finance and insurance
  • Identify competitive opportunities and differentiation strategies

Data & Attribution

  • Develop and manage advanced attribution models to understand full-funnel performance
  • Partner with data science teams on LTV/CAC modeling incrementality testing and bidding optimization

What You Bring:

Experience

  • 8 10 years in performance marketing with at least 4 years in a senior leadership role
  • Background in lead generation or consumer finance/insurance marketplaces preferred

Subject Matter Expertise

  • Deep hands-on experience with SEM platforms (Google Ads SA360)
  • Strong expertise in campaign automation attribution and performance optimization

Industry Knowledge

  • Proven experience in consumer finance and/or insurance marketing
  • Strong understanding of competitive dynamics compliance and lead-generation models

Analytical Strength

  • Advanced ability to interpret complex data sets and run large-scale A/B testing
  • Ability to translate data into actionable insights for senior stakeholders

Education

  • Bachelors degree in Marketing Economics Statistics or a related field
  • MBA or Masters degree preferred

Nice to Have:

  • Experience in data science or data engineering
  • Ability to build automated data pipelines using APIs and internal systems
  • Proficiency in Python
  • Experience optimizing across the full funnel-from click to conversion to downstream revenue
  • Experience managing and mentoring diverse teams
  • Understanding of SEO and SEM synergy
