Endpoint Support Engineer (SCCM / Network / Onsite Support)
Must be Local to Cedar Rapids IA - Face to Face Interview Mandatory
This is not a helpdesk role.
Youll be the person who shows up when systems break networks drop or sites need to stay operational - across multiple state locations.
If youve handled real onsite troubleshooting endpoint builds and network installs this will feel familiar.
Role Details
- Location: Cedar Rapids IA (Onsite)
- Work Model: 100% onsite regional travel
- Duration: 2 months (likely extension / long-term renewal)

Role Snapshot
- State government environment (ops-heavy uptime-driven)
- Mix of field support endpoint management light network work
- Travel within regional sites (same-day travel no overnight)
What this role actually owns day-to-day
- Show up onsite and resolve hardware software and connectivity issues
- Work with local business units central IT teams to keep operations running
- Handle endpoint builds patching and lifecycle management
- Install and troubleshoot network equipment (Cisco / Meraki)
- Maintain inventory tickets and documentation in ITSM tools
Key Responsibilities
- Travel to regional sites and handle hands-on IT support (desktops peripherals site systems)
- Manage endpoint devices using SCCM / endpoint tools (patching updates configs)
- Write and run PowerShell scripts for automation and efficiency improvements
- Install and troubleshoot network hardware circuits and connectivity issues
- Support site-specific applications (install maintain troubleshoot)
- Track work in ITSM tools (Service Desk Plus / Zoho or similar)
- Communicate outages updates and fixes to local stakeholders and IT teams
- Maintain inventory accuracy and documentation across sites
Must-Have Requirements (Non-Negotiable)
- Hands-on field / onsite IT support experience across multiple locations
- Strong endpoint management (hardware patching peripherals lifecycle)
- Experience with SCCM or similar endpoint tools
- Working knowledge of network hardware (Cisco Meraki WAN connectivity)
- Experience using ITSM tools for ticketing inventory tracking
- Ability to travel locally (25 30%) with valid driving record
- Experience with PowerShell or scripting for automation
- Proven troubleshooting across systems endpoints and network layers
