Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role located in The Woodlands TX for an Electric Distribution Designer. The Electric Distribution Designer will be responsible for preparing and reviewing designs for electric distribution systems creating technical drawings and layouts and ensuring compliance with codes and standards. Additional duties include performing field assessments coordinating closely with engineers and project teams and providing technical support throughout project lifecycles. The role requires strong attention to detail effective communication and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in CAD software drafting and technical design tools
- Knowledge of electric distribution systems power engineering principles and industry codes
- Ability to conduct field assessments and translate findings into design plans
- Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking skills
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills for working across teams
- Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering Civil Engineering or related field (preferred)
- Prior experience in electric distribution or utility design (preferred)
- Valid drivers license and ability to travel locally for field assessments
