Nurse Manager Full-Time Leadership Role
Position Overview Athena Health Care is seeking an experienced and dynamic Nurse Manager to lead clinical operations within an assigned unit or department. This role is responsible for fostering a collaborative patient-centered environment while ensuring the delivery of high-quality efficient and cost-effective care.
The Nurse Manager provides 24-hour accountability for patient care operations including planning organizing directing and evaluating services. This position plays a critical role in aligning departmental performance with organizational mission values and strategic goals while supporting the professional practice of nursing.
Key Responsibilities - Provide leadership and oversight of daily patient care operations within the assigned unit(s)
- Foster a culture of collaboration accountability and patient-centered care
- Ensure high standards of clinical quality safety and patient outcomes
- Manage coach and evaluate staff performance supporting professional development
- Promote patient and family engagement in care planning and decision-making
- Collaborate with physicians directors and interdisciplinary teams to optimize care delivery
- Support initiatives aimed at improving service levels reducing length of stay and managing costs
- Ensure compliance with regulatory accreditation and organizational standards
- Participate in strategic planning and operational decision-making
Qualifications Required:
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Candidates without a BSN must enroll within 12 months and complete within 36 months
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license State of Ohio
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) within 90 days of hire
- Department-specific certifications (as required)
- De-escalation training within 6 months of hire
- Previous management or leadership experience in a healthcare setting
- Relevant clinical experience
Preferred:
- Masters Degree in Nursing (MSN)
- Specialty certification (to be completed within 36 months if not already obtained)
