Position Overview

We are seeking highly skilled CVOR Registered Nurses (RNs) to support cardiovascular surgical procedures in a fast-paced operating room environment in Pittsburgh PA. The RN will play a critical role in ensuring patient safety maintaining sterile technique and collaborating with the surgical team during complex cardiac procedures.

Pay Rates

• Full-Time: $50 $55/hour

• Per-Diem: $55 $60/hour

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in cardiovascular surgical procedures as a circulating and/or scrub nurse

• Prepare and maintain a sterile operating room environment

• Monitor patient status before during and after surgery

• Collaborate with surgeons anesthesiologists and surgical team members

• Ensure proper handling of surgical instruments and equipment

• Document procedures and patient care accurately

• Demonstrate strong attention to detail and critical thinking skills

• Maintain strict adherence to sterile technique and safety protocols

• Communicate effectively in high-pressure surgical environments

• Support team collaboration and positive patient outcomes

• Adapt to varying surgical cases and schedules

Requirements

• Active RN license (state-specific or compact license preferred)

• BLS/CPR certification (ACLS preferred)

• Minimum 2 years of CVOR or Operating Room experience required

• Experience with cardiovascular procedures strongly preferred
