Registered Nurse (RN) NICU Employment Type: Full-Time Shift: 12-Hour Nights Sign-On Bonus: $5000 (for eligible external hires) Position Overview
Join the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) team at St. Mary Medical Center where you will provide specialized compassionate care to newborns and their families in a high-acuity environment.
As an RN in the NICU you will deliver evidence-based patient-centered care while supporting infants with complex medical needs and collaborating closely with a multidisciplinary care team.
Key Responsibilities
Provide specialized NICU nursing care to critically ill and premature newborns
Monitor and assess infant health status responding to changes promptly
Administer medications and treatments in accordance with NICU protocols
Collaborate with neonatologists respiratory therapists and care teams
Educate and support parents and families throughout the care journey
Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
Deliver care aligned with evidence-based practices and safety standards
Required Qualifications
Graduation from an accredited nursing program
Active California Registered Nurse License (upon hire)
BLS Certification American Heart Association (upon hire)
NRP Certification American Academy of Pediatrics (upon hire)
Minimum 1 year of nursing experience
