Field Service Engineer (FSE) Athena Health Care
Position Summary The Field Service Engineer (FSE) is responsible for delivering high-quality technical support and service excellence to customers utilizing DSPECT and VERITON-CT systems. This role plays a critical part in enhancing customer satisfaction ensuring system reliability and supporting continuous product improvement through collaboration with service leadership and engineering teams.
Key Responsibilities - Provide both onsite and remote technical support for software hardware IT systems and associated clinical applications.
- Perform system installations upgrades and preventive maintenance across the companys product portfolio.
- Take ownership of the customer experience by proactively identifying concerns driving resolution and managing escalations as needed.
- Independently assess issues and coordinate with appropriate internal teams to ensure timely and effective problem resolution.
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships through clear communication and consistent follow-up to ensure issue closure.
- Support new product launches and first-of-a-kind system installations.
- Deliver timely and accurate status updates to internal teams and customers.
- Act as a technical resource and customer advocate when required.
- Collaborate with sales and application teams to address customer needs resolve issues and support revenue growth initiatives.
- Identify opportunities to improve service efficiency by recommending enhancements to tools training and processes.
- Report directly to the Director of Service and contribute to ongoing service and operational improvements.
Qualifications & Requirements - Bachelors degree in Biomedical Engineering Electrical Engineering or a related field (or equivalent experience) preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience installing and servicing medical imaging equipment (CT or PET preferred; nuclear imaging experience is a plus).
- Proven experience troubleshooting and maintaining industrial or medical equipment.
- Strong technical proficiency in computer systems software installation/upgrades and electro-mechanical assemblies.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required.
- Excellent customer service orientation with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Flexibility to take on additional responsibilities as needed to support organizational goals and objectives.
