Lower School Teaching Assistant

The Lower School Teaching Assistant provides instructional support to students in all grade levels Kindergarten through Grade 5.

Responsibilities

• Model and teach habits that help students grow in wisdom compassion and Christ-like maturity
• Support teachers in maintaining a safe and engaging learning environment that fosters a lifelong love of learning
• Provide oversight of students during personalized learning blocks ensuring a focused and productive environment
• Facilitate extension activities for students during personalized learning blocks enriching and deepening their engagement with the curriculum
• Help students thrive as they develop strong relationships with God others ideas and the world
• Know and love each student to promote their continued growth and development
• Monitor lunch and recess supporting student safety and healthy interpersonal relationships
• Assist with arrival and dismissal ensuring smooth and safe transitions for students and families
• Participate in meaningful ongoing professional learning during regularly scheduled after school meetings and professional development days

Bachelors degree preferred; teaching and classroom experience; devout Christian who is a member of associated with or seeking to be associated with a Christ-centered community of faith or a church.
