Job Summary

Accounting SpecialistLocation: Dunwoody Village Newtown Square PADunwoody Village a premier continuing care retirement community (CCRC) in Delaware County PA is seeking a full-time career-oriented Accounting Specialist. Reporting to the Director of Finance the Accounting Specialist is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records preparing journal entries and reconciliations supporting month-end close and ensuring timely processing of payroll and vendor payments in compliance with organizational policies and applicable ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills attention to detail and experience in both accounting and transactional you will make an impact:Prepare and post journal entries including accruals prepaids and adjustmentsMaintain and reconcile general ledger and bank accounts monthlyAssist with month-end and year-end close processesTrack fixed assets and assist with depreciation schedulesAssist with audit preparation including gathering documentation and schedulesProcess vendor invoices and ensure proper coding approvals and documentationPrepare and issue payments via check ACH and other approved methodsMaintain vendor files W-9 documentation and 1099 reportingProcess bi-weekly payroll ensuring accuracy of pay deductions and benefitsMaintain payroll records and ensure compliance with federal state and local payroll requirementsPrepare and reconcile payroll-related journal entries and account balancesAssist with implementation and maintenance of automated AP and payroll systemsEnsure compliance with organizational policies and accounting standardsParticipate in process improvement and internal control proceduresMaintain compliance with all applicable federal state and local a culture of excellence by demonstrating technical and management proficiency initiative and leadership aligned withthe mission vision and values of Dunwoody Village. What you will need:Minimum of 2 years experience as an Accounting Specialist/Staff Accountant preferably in CCRC/Healthcare degree in Accounting strongly customer service experience when working with residents staff and vendors. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting/payroll software (Dayforce ADP UKG Sage PointClickCare (PCC) or similar)Strong attention to detail confidentiality and accuracyAbility to prioritize tasks and meet deadlinesDunwoody Village offers a wide array of insurance options including medical dental vision and prescription insurance fully paid ancillary benefits a generous paid time off package and a company sponsored 403b plan (including a generous annual match and discretionary contribution).
