About the Job:

The Professional Accounts Receivable (AR) Specialist is responsible for timely and accurate billing follow-up and resolution of third-party payer claims including commercial insurance Medicare Medicaid and government-assisted programs. This role ensures proper reimbursement by preparing submitting and monitoring claims and resolving outstanding account balances. The AR Specialist serves as a representative between the hospital payers and other internal departments to promote efficient claims resolution and compliance with federal state and payer-specific regulations.

What Youll Do:

• Prepare review and submit insurance claims accurately and timely utilizing electronic and paper billing methods as required
• Perform account follow-up on outstanding insurance balances ensuring proper payment and reimbursement in compliance with hospital policy and payer guidelines
• Assist Denial and Payment Variance teams in researching analyzing and resolving denied or underpaid claims including technical and administrative denials and escalate complex issues when necessary
• Collaborate with providers coding revenue integrity and patient access teams to ensure claims are complete accurate and compliant
• Retrieve review and submit medical documentation requested by insurance carriers to support claim adjudication

• High school diploma or GED Required
• Epic Experience Preferred
