General Summary: The Controller provides strategic and hands-on leadership for the organizations accounting operations across multiple nonprofit entities. This role ensuresaccuratefinancial reporting strong internal controls compliance with regulatory and grant requirements andtimelymonthend and yearend close processes. The Controller oversees the accounting team managesconsolidated financial statements and partners closely with program operations and executive leadership to support organizational RESPONSIBILITIES:Financial Reporting & CompliancePrepare monthly quarterly and annual financial statements for multiple entities includingconsolidated reportingEnsure compliance with GAAP nonprofit accounting standards and all federal state and grantor annual audit preparation serve as primary liaison to external auditors and coordinate Form 990 and strengthen internal controls accounting policies and financial Operations ManagementDirect all day-to-day accounting functions including general ledger AP payroll accounting fixed assets and revenue continuously assess work flows for efficiency and month-end and year-end close processes to ensure accuracy timeliness and multi-entity intercompany transactions eliminations and properallocationmethodologies for shared services overhead and program Leadership & DevelopmentSupervise mentor and develop accounting staff fostering a culture of accuracy accountability and continuous andtrainsstaff onworkflows deadlines and performance financial literacy across departments through training and Processes & Continuous ImprovementMaintain andoptimizefinancial systems to ensure data integrity and efficient with the CFO on system enhancements automation opportunities and process improvementand fiscal policy ERP upgrades or conversions including COA design reporting structures and user dashboards financial reports and analytical tools for & Forecasting SupportSupport annual budget development forecasting and multi-year financial variance analysis and insights to program and operational budget-to-actual reporting isaccuratetimely and & Contract ComplianceOversee grant accounting revenue recognition and compliance with grantor reporting for grants contracts and restricted with program teams to support grant budgeting and : Masters in Accounting Finance or related field; CPA preferred. 710 years of progressive accounting experience including supervisory roles. Strong knowledge of GAAP and nonprofit accounting (FASB Uniform Guidance). Experience with multientity structures and consolidations. Proficiency with financial systems and advanced :Minimum 21 years of Level I fingerprint clearance if required (must possess upon hire and maintain throughout employment).CPR First Aid AED certification if required (must possess upon hire and maintain throughout employment).Current valid Arizona Drivers License and 39-month Motor Vehicle Report and proof of vehicle registration liability insurance to meet insurance requirements if about this position Contact us at
