Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Histotechnician to join a laboratory team supporting diagnostic and clinical services. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in histology procedures and a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards in specimen processing and analysis.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine and specialized histology procedures including tissue processing embedding sectioning and staining
- Prepare high-quality slides for microscopic examination by pathologists
- Ensure proper handling labeling and documentation of specimens
- Maintain and operate laboratory equipment used in histology processes
- Follow established laboratory safety protocols and quality control standards
- Assist in troubleshooting technical issues related to specimen preparation
- Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
- Collaborate with laboratory staff to ensure efficient workflow and turnaround times
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Histotechnician or in a related laboratory role
- ASCP certification required (HT or HTL preferred)
- Strong knowledge of histology techniques and laboratory procedures
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
