Job Summary
Mid-State Supply in Alexandria LA is looking for an Electrical Support to join the team. The Electrical Support team member serves as a key resource for both the Counter Sales and Warehouse teams supporting the sale handling and distribution of electrical products. This role is primarily focused on counter sales while ensuring seamless coordination with warehouse operations to deliver excellent customer service and efficient order fulfillment.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Supports efforts of Counter sales team and Warehouse team.
- Answers customer questions regarding products prices and availability.
- Confers with customers by telephone or through another method to provide support.
- Handles customer inquiries.
- Provides feedback from potential customers to enhance product functionality and service.
- Ensures effective internal communication within the sales group as well as throughout the warehouse team.
- Ensures orientation toward high quality service and adoption of best practices.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of counter.
- Organizes and stocks inventory related to Electrical portion of warehouse and counter.
- Picks and prepares orders for Counter customers.
- Maintains cleanliness of Electrical side of warehouse.
- Delivers product to customers as need arises.
- Supports Inventory Specialist by effectively counting product.
NONESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Provides assistance with estimates or quotes prices and delivery / pick-up dates.
QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or equivalent is required; Associate degree preferred.
- Two plus years of electrical experience is required; sales experience in the electrical wholesale industry is highly preferred.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment is required.
- Must have a clean driving record; ability to drive company vehicles.
