Job Summary

Provide students with appropriate learning activities and experience designed to help them fulfill their potential for intellectual emotional physical and social growth. Enable students to develop competencies and skills to function successfully in society. Assist and support building principal to ensure on-site administration and execution of the districts educational programs policies and regulations and quality instruction for all students in a safe and healthy environment.

Collaborate with students parents and other members of staff to support the development of Individual Education Plans (IEP) for each student.

Implement an instructional therapeutic or skill development program for assigned students and show written evidence of preparation as required.

Plan and use appropriate instructional and learning strategies activities materials and equipment that reflect an understanding of the learning styles and needs of students assigned.

Conduct ongoing assessments of student achievement through formal and informal testing.

Create a classroom environment conducive to learning and appropriate for the physical social and emotional development of students.

Manage student behavior and administer discipline including intervening in crises and physically restraining students as necessary according to IEP.

Compile maintain and file all reports records and other required documents.

Required Bachelors degree from accredited university

Required Valid Teacher Certificate with valide endorsements for subject and subject level assigned

Demonstrated willingness to improve competency by periodically participating in some form of

professional growth.

Work cooperatively with classroom teachers to modify regular curricula as needed and assist special

education students in regular classes with assignments.

Demonstrated knowledge of basic computer operations such as Microsoft office (word powerpoint)

email Exceed.

Demonstrated strong organizational communication and interpersonal skills required to achieve the

goals of the position.

***Minimum Salary: $67 500 (non-certified) / $68000 (certified)***
