The ideal candidate will be able to support the following functions:Manage SAN devices to include proper zoning and allocation of storage for the enterpriseMonitoring and managing regular backups disaster recovery testing and data retention activitiesSupporting backup and recovery solutions including installation and configuration of backup clientsScheduling all backup jobs and deconflicting cron jobs (Oracle PeopleSoft)Verifying client registration with backup software and determining appropriate data setsMonitoring replication jobs to ensure successful execution from source site to target siteTroubleshooting and resolving issues related to backup and recovery systemsAddressing Media server issues affecting various environmentsTroubleshooting client availability with Avamar clients and native backup toolsSupporting High Availability for Media Servers to mitigate infrastructure failuresProviding backup metrics and analysis for capacity utilization performance and retention policy impactsForecasting storage needs based on backup metrics and usage patternsOptimizing backup and recovery system performanceCreating and maintaining system configuration documentation and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)Clearance Requirement:Active Secret ClearanceRequired Qualifications Experience Skills & Abilities:Bachelors degree in a technical discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience3 years experience with EMC Avamar technology3 years experience with EMC DataDomain technology5 years experience in Windows Server 2016 (to include more recent versions) server administration3 years experience as a Cisco MDS and SAN fabric switch administrator2 years experience with PURE FlashArray/FlashBlade hardware and operating system administrationPreferred Qualifications Experience Skills & Abilities:Demonstrated experience in enterprise storage technologies/principles and backup technologies/best practicesStrong technical and troubleshooting skills in hybrid Microsoft Windows/Linux server environmentsProficiency with PURE FlashArray/FlashBlade storage solutionsExpertise in Cisco MDS and SAN fabric switch configuration and administrationKnowledge of Windows 2016 or above server administrationKnowledge of Linux and/or similar Unix-based serversProficiency with Dell Avamar PowerProtect (EMC) and DataDomainEMC Proven Professional CertificationAt least two of the following certifications: FlashArray and/or FlashBlade Associate/Professional/Specialist Avamar Data Domain Dell EMC UnityMicrosoft Certified Technology Specialist (MCTS) or Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP) - Windows Server 2016 track (preferred)Experience with EMC Storage Technologies (System Administration)Experience with Pure FlashArray and/or FlashBladeStorage-specific training from HP DellEMC Pure or NetAppOur Equal Employment Opportunity PolicyThe company is an equal opportunity employer.
