We are seeking an experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN) to provide high-quality perioperative care in a fast-paced surgical environment. The RN will collaborate with physicians and the surgical team to ensure safe effective and efficient patient care throughout all phases of surgery.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare operating rooms by ensuring all instruments equipment and supplies are sterile and ready
Assist surgeons and surgical teams before during and after procedures
Maintain strict aseptic and sterile techniques throughout surgeries
Monitor patients vital signs and condition during procedures
Conduct pre-operative assessments including patient verification and consent review
Provide intraoperative care including proper patient positioning and safety measures
Perform surgical counts (instruments sponges supplies) before and after procedures
Administer medications and support anesthesia processes within scope of practice
Collaborate with surgeons anesthesiologists and healthcare staff
Respond to surgical emergencies and complications promptly
Ensure proper functioning of surgical equipment and report issues
Maintain accurate documentation of patient care and procedures
Provide post-operative care and assist with patient transfer to recovery units
Educate patients and families on procedures and recovery when needed
Follow all safety standards policies and regulatory guidelines
Required Qualifications
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
Operating Room (OR) nursing experience
BLS certification (ACLS preferred)
Strong knowledge of sterile techniques and surgical procedures
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced surgical environment
