EXTENDED SCHOOL YEAR (ESY) SUMMER 2026

Title: Summer Nursing Support (two positions available)

• Primary Nurse: RN
• Secondary Nurse: RN

Position Summary: Lincoln-Sudbury Regional High School seeks two qualified Registered Nurses to support Extended School Year (ESY) programs.

Schedule:

• Primary Nurse
• June 29th 2026 to August 20th 2026
• (Program Break July 20th to July 31st)
• Monday-Thursday
• 8:30AM to 2:30PM
• Anticipated total hours: 144

• Secondary Nurse
• June 30th 2026 to August 20th 2026
• (Program Break July 20th to July 31st)
• Tuesday-Thursday
• 8:30AM to 2:30PM
• Anticipated total hours: 108

Duties and Responsibilities (Not limited to):

• Manages a comprehensive school health summer program consistent with the Massachusetts guidelines regulation and statutes governing nursing and school health.
• Carries out communicable disease prevention and infection control based on current guidelines for universal precautions prevention of blood borne pathogens exposure and hazardous medical waste disposal.
• Provides medically prescribed interventions including medication administration (based on state regulations) and provides care to ill children on a daily basis.
• Provides first aid to injured children and staff and triage to appropriate health care providers. Documents in the electronic health system.
• Implements individualized health care plans for students when needed.
• Is current in health knowledge trends attends continuing education activities related to current clinical knowledge and professional issues.
• Other nursing duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in nursing from an accredited college or university
• Licensed or eligible for licensure as a School Nurse by the Massachusetts Department of Elementary & Secondary Education (MA DESE) preferred
• Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN) in Massachusetts
• Current certification in cardiopulmonary resuscitation
• 1 to 3 years of experience in school pediatric or public health nursing
• Summer program experience

Compensation: $75/hour
