Title: Summer Nursing Support (two positions available)
- Primary Nurse: RN
- Secondary Nurse: RN
Position Summary: Lincoln-Sudbury Regional High School seeks two qualified Registered Nurses to support Extended School Year (ESY) programs.
Schedule:
- Primary Nurse
- June 29th 2026 to August 20th 2026
- (Program Break July 20th to July 31st)
- Monday-Thursday
- 8:30AM to 2:30PM
- Anticipated total hours: 144
- Secondary Nurse
- June 30th 2026 to August 20th 2026
- (Program Break July 20th to July 31st)
- Tuesday-Thursday
- 8:30AM to 2:30PM
- Anticipated total hours: 108
Duties and Responsibilities (Not limited to):
- Manages a comprehensive school health summer program consistent with the Massachusetts guidelines regulation and statutes governing nursing and school health.
- Carries out communicable disease prevention and infection control based on current guidelines for universal precautions prevention of blood borne pathogens exposure and hazardous medical waste disposal.
- Provides medically prescribed interventions including medication administration (based on state regulations) and provides care to ill children on a daily basis.
- Provides first aid to injured children and staff and triage to appropriate health care providers. Documents in the electronic health system.
- Implements individualized health care plans for students when needed.
- Is current in health knowledge trends attends continuing education activities related to current clinical knowledge and professional issues.
- Other nursing duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in nursing from an accredited college or university
- Licensed or eligible for licensure as a School Nurse by the Massachusetts Department of Elementary & Secondary Education (MA DESE) preferred
- Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN) in Massachusetts
- Current certification in cardiopulmonary resuscitation
- 1 to 3 years of experience in school pediatric or public health nursing
- Summer program experience
Compensation: $75/hour
