Anatomic Path Support Supervisor - Altamonte Springs FL Monday to Friday 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
Pay range: $58656 per year
Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills training experience education and where applicable certifications obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered. Successful candidates may be eligible to receive annual performance bonus compensation.

Intended for individuals with prior work experience supporting anatomic pathology functions. The individual will oversee the day to day operations of AP support functions and handle escalated issues.
Responsibilities
- Provide direction and monitoring of workflow to meet deadlines and assure departmental coverage
- Develop departmental policies/procedures and maintains these in written format
- Provide feedback to employees via PD&R process daily feedback corrective actions and mentoring
- Knowledge of all area of histology and cytology support functions and able to perform proficiently as needed
- Identify and resolve all employee/client issues
- Responsible for scheduling of time off/breaks/lunches
- May supervise transcription area
- Demonstrate and convey an understanding of the compliance policies relating to test ordering test reporting add-on tests TIQ/TNRP reflex tests and custom panels
- Responsible for orientation and training of newly hired employees
- Able to perform all AP Support Specialist AP Resolution Specialist and other support functions as needed
- All other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Required Work Experience:
3 years related experience
Preferred Work Experience:
6 years related experience
Physical and Mental Requirements:
Able to sit and/or stand for long periods of time
Knowledge:
- Must have a thorough knowledge of client services TIQ/TNRP cytology and histology support functions
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Strong knowledge of basic computer functions and Quest LIS
Skills:
- Strong problem solving and leadership skills
- Excellent organizational collaborative and verbal/written communication skills
Education
- Associates Degree (Preferred)
- High School Diploma or Equivalent (Required)
