Medical Billing Clerk

Location: Onsite Miramar FL

Schedule: Full-Time Monday Friday

Pay Rate: $19.00/Hour

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES include but are not limited to the following:

• Verify patient information and insurance coverage.
• Code diagnoses and procedures using ICD-10 and CPT codes.
• Submit claims to insurance companies and government programs.
• Follow up on unpaid claims and denials.
• Process patient payments and refunds.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date billing records.
• Communicate with patients insurance companies and healthcare providers as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

• 1-2 years of experience in medical billing or related field preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology ICD-10 and CPT coding.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and medical billing software.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

EDUCATION

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Degree or Certification in Medical Billing and Coding preferred.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• Requires sitting standing and occasional light lifting.
