Summary
The Master Foreman oversees a single job site running the crew and enforcing safety quality and production standards. This role focuses on hands-on management of slate tile and steep slope roofing projects including complex repairs and restoration. The Master Foreman reports to management and ensures projects meet deadlines budgets and quality standards while mentoring the crew and coordinating with subcontractors. Travel is required during the week and then home every weekend.

Minimum Qualifications
Management: 5 years hands-on experience managing roofing or construction crews
Supervise and support the crew daily regarding safety quality and production
Participate in daily meetings with general contractors and provide detailed updates on the project
Manage deadlines budgets and teams for complex repairs and 2-4 month reroof projects
Ensure proper safety protocols and equipment usage
Track material usage jobsite cleanliness and daily progress
Communicate daily with manager regarding field issues production and technical questions
Coordinate punch lists and job close-out before crew leaves site
Complete paperwork including timesheets daily reports safety huddles and material requisitions
Mentor train and coach crew members and subcontractors
Perform or supervise installation repair and restoration of slate tile shingles synthetic slate carpentry siding and related roofing materials
Inspect equipment structures and materials for compliance with safety and quality standards
Evaluate problems and develop solutions on-site to maintain production and quality
Operate vehicles mechanized devices and equipment safely
Physical Demands
Requires standing up for long periods of time
Requires use of ladders scaffolds and stairways
Requires ability to climb lift balance walk and handle materials
Requires use of abdominal and lower back muscles to support part of the body repeatedly or continuously over time without giving out or fatiguing
Requires seeing details at close range
Requires repetitive movement bending or twisting kneeling crouching stooping or crawling
Requires ability to stand walk lift and carry items weighing 50 pounds regularly
Work Environment
Requires working in extremely bright or inadequate lighting conditions in very hot (above 90 F degrees) or very cold (below 32 F degrees) temperatures including exposure to sounds and noise levels that are distracting or uncomfortable
Includes exposure to contaminants hazardous material or equipment
Mistakes are not easily correctable and have serious consequences therefore Safety procedures need to be followed
Requires exposure to minor burns cuts bites or stings
Requires exposure to high places or dangerous conditions
