Northwest Talent Solutions (NWTS) is partnering with a world-class highly advanced manufacturing operation to identify a Lead Mechanical Specialist who thrives in high-impact fast-paced environments.

This is not a typical technician role.
This is a plant-critical leadership position where youll serve as the go-to expert for mechanical systems troubleshooting and operational performanceguiding teams and solving complex problems that directly impact production.

What Youll Be Doing:

Youll operate at the center of plant performance including:

• Leading technical troubleshooting efforts to restore product flow and minimize downtime
• Providing hands-on guidance and mentorship to craft and maintenance teams
• Diagnosing and resolving issues across mechanical hydraulic and pneumatic systems
• Analyzing equipment and process data to identify improvements and prevent recurring failures
• Supporting continuous improvement initiatives (Lean FMEA RCM SPC)
• Assisting with outage planning repairs and capital project execution
• Partnering cross-functionally with engineering operations and maintenance teams
• Acting as a technical authority across the production floor

What Makes You a Strong Fit:

Were looking for professionals who bring:

• 5 years of mechanical systems experience in industrial environments (required)
• Strong expertise in hydraulics blueprint reading and mechanical tolerances
• Proven ability to troubleshoot complex equipment issues in live production environments
• Experience working in manufacturing (metals paper heavy industry preferred)
• Ability to lead through influence and expertisenot just title

Bonus if you have:

• Experience with rolling mill equipment or similar heavy machinery
• Background in failure analysis and continuous improvement methodologies
• Technical degree or apprenticeship
• Experience designing fabricating or installing mechanical equipment
