Help power operational excellence for one of the largest in-house litigation departments in the this role youll be on the front line of litigation supportturning time-sensitive legal service into organized actionable case files. Youll partner with attorneys paralegals and business stakeholders to ensure the right matters reach the right teams quickly and accurately. As anAssistant Vice President Legal Specialist Officerin theCase Oversight & Administration Team you support litigation managed by theJPMorganChase Legal Departmentthrough case intake legal document review escalation research and matter data management. You will help protect the firm by identifying urgent deadlines ensuring complete and audit-ready electronic case files and delivering clear issue summaries and routing recommendations. Youll also contribute to operational reporting and basic analytics to improve workload management and intake effectiveness.

Job Responsibilities

  • Reviewincoming legal documents (pleadings subpoenas notices complaints filings) andtriagefor appropriate handling within Litigation
  • Prioritizedocuments based on risk urgency and time-sensitive requirements (service deadlines hearings TROs)
  • Escalateurgent matters promptly with concise summaries required actions and supporting documentation
  • Researchandvalidaterelated complaints customer correspondence prior matters and supporting materials to inform intake and referral decisions
  • Navigatemultiple internal and external systems toidentifycustomer relationships accounts and related entities associated with legal service
  • Reconcileconflicting or incomplete data tolinkdocuments accurately to the correct matter party and case record
  • Maintainelectronic case files ensuring organized complete and audit-ready documentation throughout the case lifecycle
  • Updatematter records with accurate metadata party details key dates and filing history to support case management workflows
  • Respondto attorney/paralegal research requests byprovidingconcise findings source documents and recommended routing/next steps
  • Applylegal and business knowledge to support risk-aware prioritization and consistent intake decisions
  • Prepareoperational reports andanalyzebasic metrics (volume cycle time aging escalation drivers) to support process improvement

Required Qualifications Capabilities and Skills

  • 2 yearsof relevant paralegal or legal experience (corporate legal law firm litigation support or similar)
  • Demonstrated ability totriage and prioritizehigh volumes of time-sensitive work with strong attention to detail
  • Stronganalytical and researchskills including ability to validate facts across multiple sources/systems
  • Proven experiencereviewing and interpretinglegal documents (e.g. subpoenas pleadings complaints notices)
  • Strongorganizational and case file managementskills including maintaining complete electronic files and documentation standards
  • Ability tosummarize issues clearlyand escalate with concise action-oriented recommendations
  • Effectivetime managementandproject/task managementskills; ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines
  • Strongwritten and verbal communicationskills including professional stakeholder interaction
  • Ability to workindependentlywith sound judgment while collaborating in a team environment
  • Comfort working acrossmultiple systems/toolsand maintaining high data accuracy
  • Willingness and ability to successfully complete aconflicts of interest clearance reviewprior to employment

Preferred Qualifications Capabilities and Skills

  • Bachelors degreeParalegal Certificate or equivalent education
  • Professional paralegal certification (e.g. NALA NFPA)
  • Experience supportinglitigation intake service processing or case managementin a corporate or law firm environment
  • Working knowledge ofbanking and financeconcepts and how they intersect with litigation support
  • Familiarity withU.S. laws/regulationsrelevant to the financial services industry
  • Experience producingoperational reportingand basic performance analytics (volume cycle time aging drivers)
  • Demonstrated ability to contribute toprocess improvementin a high-volume operations or legal support setting
