The Assistant Volleyball Coach is responsible for assisting the Head Coach in the overall development and implementation of the womens volleyball program. This will include all areas of recruiting from correspondence to evaluations to visits coaching of current student-athletes administrative duties working with any camps/ clinics and any additional duties as assigned by the Head Coach.
JOB FUNCTIONS
Coaching
Assist the Head Coach with coaching of positions or athletes assigned.
Support and enforce the head coachs philosophy with student athletes in training film and scouting.
Assist in planning and implementation of court training and facilitation.
Coordinate with the Head Coach in preparation of scouting reports.
Communicate with Head Coach to aid in efficient communication to the student-athlete.
Help administer team rules and policies.
Assist with facilities and equipment as needed as in coordination with the Director of Operations.
Home and away match duties as specified.
Assist with video and statistics analysis as needed for game planning post-game and training.
Recruiting Coordinator
Administer and organize yearly recruiting calendar for the program.
Scrupulous and structured evaluations at Recruiting events implementation of University Athlete and Arms.
Collect and execute a recruiting plan post recruiting trips.
Relationship building clear and responsive communication with Club Recruiting Coordinators
Schedule and organize official and unofficial visits (itineraries meetings etc.)
Help create recruiting materials for emails and social media. Working hand in hand with our SID.
Ensure recruiting activities are aligned with compliance and NCAA regulations.
Recruiting tasks as assigned.
Administration
All administrative duties need to be done with precision and attention to detail.
Assist with supervision of managers practice players and volunteers (if needed).
Alumni relations database tracking and coordinating
alumni functions.
Assist with all banquets and functions.
Assist with marketing and game management if needed.
Miscellaneous
Additional duties as assigned by the Head Coach.
Attend Hurricane Athletics functions.
Represent the University of Miami in the best possible manor showing professionalism and integrity in all areas.
Promotes an atmosphere of compliance with other coaches and actively supervising student-athletes and other individuals so as to maintain strict compliance with the constitutions bylaws rules and regulations of the NCAA the Atlantic Coast Conference and any other governing body league or conference of which the University may be subject to.
Establishes and continuously assesses the effectiveness of the internal controls within the unit and compliance with University policies and procedures. Ensures employees are trained on controls within the function and on University policy and procedures.
Help and organize camps and clinics.

QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
Bachelors degree in relevant field
Experience:
Minimum 3 years of collegiate coaching experience
Knowledge Skills and Attitudes

- Ability to maintain effective interpersonal relationships
- Ability to recognize analyze and solve a variety of problems
