DESCRIPTION:
Join our manufacturing engineering team and make a meaningful impact on advanced technology and processes. As an Engineer II in Manufacturing Engineering youll support continuous improvement ensure quality standards and optimize production processes while collaborating with cross-functional teams. Lead technical projects and provide manufacturing support to help deliver innovative solutions that enable our customers to make the world healthier cleaner and safer.
You will participate in new product introductions process improvements and equipment optimization initiatives. Using data-driven approaches and lean methodologies youll identify opportunities to enhance efficiency reduce costs and maintain the highest quality standards. Work closely with operations quality maintenance R&D and other teams to implement sustainable solutions that drive manufacturing excellence.
Responsibilities:
- Develop manufacturing assembly and test work instructions guides and procedures
- Represent manufacturing on NPI teams to develop efficient designs using DFM and serviceability
- Promote the utilization of Lean methodologies and tools such as Kaizen Kanban 5S poke-yoke and value stream mapping
- Drive process improvements in operations to reduce scrap and rework
- Ensure adequate documentation for tooling fixtures and equipment
- Engage in supplier assessment corrective actions and first article approval processes
- Quickly disposition and root cause component and assembly failures
- Implement engineering change orders
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Industrial Material Science or Electrical Engineering preferred; equivalent experience will also be considered.
- HS Diploma/GED required
- 2-5 years of relevant experience in manufacturing operations preferred
- Experience with good engineering practices
- Strong interpersonal written and verbal communication skills
- Data analysis experience
- ERP experience SAP preferred
- CAD software experience
- Proven track record to fix and solve mechanical issues.
- Experience in process improvement and Lean methodologies
- Experience with automation controls and process validation preferred
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting capabilities
- Ability to mentor and train manufacturing personnel
- Must be able to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs with assistance
