The College of Health and Behavioral Studies is seeking a creative and motivated student to join our team as a Social Media this role youll help tell the story of CHBS by creating dynamic engaging photo and video content for our social media platforms. This is a great opportunity to build your portfolio while gaining hands-on experience in content creation branding and digital communication.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Assist professional staff with the following tasks:
- Create compelling photo and video content that highlights CHBS programs students and events
- Develop social media posts aligned with JMU branding and social media guidelines
- Contribute ideas during brainstorming sessions for posts content series and campaigns
- Communicate professionally with academic units student organizations and individuals across CHBS to identify and gather content opportunities
Qualifications:
- Experience with photography and/or video editing
- Familiarity with current social media platforms and trends
- Willingness to appear on camera when needed
- Comfortable spontaneously approaching and interviewing students faculty and staff
- Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud (e.g. Photoshop Premiere Pro Lightroom)
- Ability to manage files using internal platforms (e.g. Teams Outlook Trello)

Students must be degree-seeking students enrolled on at least a half-time basis (6 credits for undergraduate and 5 credits for graduate).
