Job Title: MRI Technologist Night Shift
Location: Elmhurst NY 11373
Shift: 12:00 AM 8:00 AM (Includes alternating weekends and holidays)
Duration: 14 Weeks
Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated MRI Technologist to join a fast-paced acute care environment. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in MRI imaging and be comfortable working overnight shifts including weekends and holidays.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality MRI scans in accordance with physician orders and departmental protocols
- Ensure patient safety comfort and proper positioning during imaging procedures
- Operate and maintain MRI equipment (GE systems preferred)
- Accurately document procedures using EPIC and other clinical systems
- Collaborate with radiologists and healthcare staff to ensure optimal patient care
- Adhere to all safety standards policies and infection control procedures
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of MRI experience preferably in an acute care setting
- Experience working with MRI equipment (GE equipment preferred)
- Associates degree from an accredited Radiologic Technology program
- Valid Radiologic Technologist license issued by New York State Department of Health (NYSDOH)
- Current MRI certification through one of the following:
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or
- American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT)
Preferred Qualifications
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association
Additional Information
- Training: 2 weeks (9:00 AM 5:00 PM) including EPIC system training
- Interview Process: In-person interview required
