Veterinary AssistantReceptionist

Job duties include but are not limited to:

Were seeking a compassionate and versatile team member to support both patient care and front desk operations working with both small animal and equine patients.

Responsibilities:

• Restrain pets and assist with exams procedures and surgery (including anesthesia support)
• Triage patients and assist with diagnostics (lab samples imaging)
• Provide nursing care and administer medications
• Communicate treatment plans with clients
• Greet clients manage calls/emails and schedule appointments
• Check clients in/out process payments and maintain reception area
• Offer empathetic support to clients during sensitive situations

Work Environment:

• Exposure to odors noise animal waste bites/scratches and contagious diseases

Qualifications :

Were looking for:

• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Veterinary Assistant and/or Veterinary Receptionist preferred
• Compassionate calm and team-oriented with strong communication skills
• Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment
• Comfortable properly restraining pets
• Proficient in collecting samples obtaining medical histories processing lab tests and assisting with radiographs (anesthesia monitoring is a plus)
• Strong computer skills and ability to manage scheduling calls and client communication
• Self-starter with a desire to continue growing knowledge and skillset
