Electrical Designer, Data Centers Remote (U.S.)

Job Summary
We are seeking an Electrical Designer with expertise in the design and delivery of colocation and hyperscale data center facilities. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing electrical systems in large-scale data centers. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical engineering and experience working with high-density data centers.
This position offers the flexibility of a remote work schedule and can be based from a variety of locations in the US where AECOM has an office.
Although the position is primarily remote periodic travel may be required for client meetings key project milestones onsite collaboration sessions or other businesscritical activities. Travel is expected to be occasional and scheduled in advance

Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement electrical systems for hyper-scale data centers including medium and low-voltage power distribution backup power systems and emergency systems.
- Responsible for electrical calculations and development of drawings in accordance to client specifications and industry standards.
- Develop and maintain electrical schematics bills of materials and installation drawings
- Ensure compliance with industry standards codes and regulations including National Electric Code (NEC) and International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) standards
- Collaborate with other engineers and stakeholders to develop specifications design criteria and project budgets
- Stay up-to-date with advancements in electrical engineering and data center technologies
Qualifications :
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree with 4 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and or education.
- Experience with colocation and hyperscale data center projects.
- Experience working in Revit and ACC
- Experience with and knowledge of building codes mission critical infrastructure standards and data center design requirements.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Professional Engineer license (P.E.) preferred
- Strong knowledge of National Electrical Code (NEC/NFPA70)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience with data center design and construction including design criteria and industry standards
