Master Refrigeration Technician

Job Summary
Metroplex Refrigeration is seeking a Senior or Master Refrigeration Technician to service and maintain commercial ice machines and refrigeration equipment. This role requires strong troubleshooting skills the ability to work independently and a commitment to safety and customer service in a fast-paced 24/7 environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Service commercial refrigeration systems including:
- Ice Machines.
- Walk-in coolers and freezers.
- Reach-in units.
- Small self-contained equipment.
- Beverage equipment.
- Diagnose troubleshoot and repair medium- and low-temperature refrigeration systems with minimal supervision.
- Perform routine and preventive maintenance to ensure optimal system performance.
- Respond to service calls including participation in a 24/7 on-call rotation.
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair work performed.
- Follow all safety protocols especially when handling refrigerants.
- Provide excellent customer service while interacting with clients.
- Operate company vehicles safely and use appropriate safety equipment.
- Support additional geographic service areas as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Supervisor.
Required Qualifications:
Minimum 5 years of experience in commercial HVAC/refrigeration.
Strong ability to independently diagnose and repair mechanical systems.
Technical training through trade school RSES or equivalent experience.
Education:
High school diploma or GED; completion of an accredited HVAC/R apprenticeship or technical trade school program.
