Responsibilities
The Quality Specialists primary responsibility is to support the performance reporting and quality improvement program and serve as liaison between the CIN and the practices / providers in the network. The Quality Specialist collaborates with the practices to drive improvement in operational performance and clinical outcome measurements. Serves as educational resource for the practices and ensures they are well-educated about programs and supports them in their understanding of practice transformation quality reporting and related initiatives. Works with the clinical and analytics teams to compile data and improve individual physician performance as necessary
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in health sciences public health healthcare administration or relatedfield
- 2 years of relevant experience in value-based care/quality improvement role
- Strong understanding of value-based care models population health management andquality improvement methodologies.
PREFERRED
- Analytical skills necessary to analyze and interpret routine data.
- Experienced user of clinical information systems (i.e. electronic health record practice management systems disease registries clinical analytic systems)
- Ability to work collaboratively with physicians and healthcare administrators
- Ability to work independently with under general direction
- Skill in oral and written communication
