JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for providing overall coordination supervision and direction for the day-to-day operation of bus routes in assigned areas to ensure efficient and safe transportation for all students in the District.
EDUCATION TRAINING & EXPERIENCE
- High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) from an accredited institution
- Two yearsexperience working with student transportation services which must include experience driving a school bus
- Experience as a Field Service Specialist or similar position in a school district setting
- OR
- Any equivalent combination of education and experience which provides the required knowledge skills and abilities to perform the essential duties and responsibilities of the position
- Valid and current Florida Commercial Drivers License (CDL) Class Bwith a School Bus Endorsement S and Passenger Endorsement P
- Must maintain a driving record that meets the standards of the District Safe Driver Plan. Drivers license must be maintained as a condition of continued employment
- Must possess and maintain a Medical Examination Report for Commercial Driver Fitness Determination
- Must possess or obtain a Third Party Commercial Driver License Tester certificate within twelve (12) months of employment; must be scheduled into the first available class after employment.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS
- All hires must pass the pre-employment drug screening according to the Federal Omnibus Transportation Employees Testing Act (OTETA).
- All hires must meet dexterity and reflex requirements according to Pasco County Schools.
- All hires must submit to and pass an initial drug test and subsequent random drug tests in accordance with the requirements of Florida Statute 112.0455 and the Pasco County Sheriffs Office.

Pasco County Schools utilizes the Florida Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse for fingerprinting and Level II background screening.
