Position Overview
Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Surgical Technologist (OR Tech) to support perioperative patient care in a fast-paced operating room this role you will function as a key member of the surgical team assisting physicians during operative and invasive procedures while ensuring the highest standards of sterile technique and patient safety.
Working under the supervision of a Registered Nurse the Surgical Technologist will utilize clinical expertise to anticipate surgical needs manage instrumentation and contribute to efficient and effective surgical outcomes. This position also serves as a resource and mentor to peers within the department.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and maintain a sterile field for surgical procedures
Function as a scrub assistant during surgeries and invasive procedures
Ensure proper preparation handling and availability of surgical instruments and equipment
Anticipate surgeon needs and provide appropriate instruments and supplies promptly
Maintain strict adherence to aseptic techniques and infection control protocols
Assist with patient positioning draping and intraoperative support
Collaborate effectively with surgeons nurses and other surgical team members
Monitor track and manage surgical instruments throughout procedures
Support compliance with hospital policies regulatory standards and safety guidelines
Serve as a clinical resource and mentor to team members as needed
Required Experience & Skills
Hands-on experience in the following specialties:
General Surgery
Gynecology (GYN)
Ear Nose and Throat (ENT)
Orthopedics
Urology
Vascular Surgery
Experience with robotic-assisted surgery (e.g. Mako Robotics)
Strong knowledge of surgical instrumentation and sterile techniques
Ability to work efficiently in a high-pressure operating room setting
Preferred Experience
Neurospine procedures
Pediatric surgical experience
Qualifications
Completion of an accredited Surgical Technologist program (preferred)
