Summary:
The Secretary 3 Florida Instructional Materials Center for the Visually Impaired (FIMC-VI) will perform a variety of complex specialized secretarial tasks requiring a high degree of maturity tact and judgement to maintain the confidential nature of sensitive information for a Supervisor of FIMC-VI a grant-based program of the Florida Department of Education and Hillsborough County Public Schools.

Responsibilities:
Inputs data processing entries correspondence articles reports manuals forms and minutes on general or technical subjects.
Serves as secretary at the larger unit or section level.
Composes moderately complex correspondence for supervisors signature and determines necessity for dispatching other written information.
Opens and distributes mail; assembles material for use by supervisor. Prepares bulk mailings.
Answers inquiries requiring interpretation of organization policy and procedures.
Meets public; aids in filling out forms questionnaires and/or applications. Manages the registration of Digital Rights Managers from Florida School District for Florida-NIMAS.
Supervises a small number of employees.
Tracks inventory/purchase orders as directed. Manages the ordering and assignments of materials to braille transcribers for the Scholastic Book Program.
Prepares payroll travel reports etc. for department as directed.
Performs light accounting functions and maintains budget records.
Coordinates preparations for workshops meetings seminars.
Codes classifies posts and consolidates information for involved reports; checks for required forms and number of copies.
Operates various general office machines such as adding machines copy machines calculators word processors collators decollators call directories or other telephone-related devices.
Maintains complete filing systems and records as required
Performs basic computer skills such as keyboarding spreadsheets and presentation software.
Performs any other duties as assigned.
