Job Summary
Summary
The Industrial Components Division is seeking a Sales Engineer III to join our team supporting our conveying equipment customers. The Sales Engineer III Conveying Equipment is responsible for assisting customers with selecting replacement parts for cement aggregate and phosphate elevators and conveyors. This position provides field support training system design engineering services product pricing and vendor sourcing.
Key Responsibilities
- Regularly visits customer worksites to perform equipment audits and wear life analysis
- Provides onsite customer equipment troubleshooting services.
- Makes recommendations to customers on replacement of parts.
- Creates customer quotes for part replacements
- Communicates the values and advantages of products to prospective customers
- Supports customers in maintenance budget planning and project prioritization.
- Provides training on conveying systems to end users and distributors.
- Supports OEMs in part selection process and component interactions.
- Identifies solutions for retrofitting or upgrading customer equipment
- Delivers consistent revenue and share of growth at targeted accounts
- Provides post order processing support (setting up engineered to order SKUs)
- Understands individual end markets and develop market sales plan to drive growth through existing and new account targets
- Serves as the customers key point of contact for technical expertise.
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Requirements:
- Minimum of a Bachelors degree; preferably in engineering or industrial sales management; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in industrial product sales
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working with assigned product category strongly preferred
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Able/willing to travel to meet customers up to 50% travel
